Short answer: Security is our top priority and we take it extremely seriously. Please read the below note for more details
A note from our lead developer:
Before VGen, I worked for a financial technology company, where my job involved securing sensitive user data such as social insurance numbers (Canadian equivalent of the US's SSNs), so security is something I know very well.
First off, we don't store any personal or banking information on our servers. This information is securely stored in Stripe, which is certified as a PCI Service Provider Level 1, the highest level of certification in the payments industry. When you connect Stripe through our dashboard, you'll be directed to their site to fill in your details, so we'll never see them at any point. Similarly, our PayPal integration is also authorized and approved by the PayPal team for security and accuracy.
We use end-to-end encryption with TLS on all network traffic, and force SSL on all requests to prevent any data leaks or man-in-the-middle attacks. We also use Cloudflare to protect against bots and DDoS attacks. Our servers, and database, are managed by Google, and all our user data is stored in the US. In addition, all passwords are encrypted to industry standards in our database. Once created, not even I could decrypt one.
Security is always our #1 concern, and we take it extremely seriously. Rest assured that we are doing everything we can to keep your data safe and private.
