Boosts let clients send artists a little extra support after a commission is complete, while also making that commission stand out visually across VGen.
What is a Boost?
- Boosts are optional extra payments sent after a commission is completed.
- They act like
tipsthat also highlight the commission’s verified showcase. - The regular VGen transaction fee still applies to Boosts.
- Note that the maximum boost amount is 300% of the commission's value
What happens when a commission is Boosted?
- The commission gets a black frame and an animated “Verified Commission” badge.
- Clients can choose a decoration style (for example, a green sparkle frame) from the commission modal.
- Boosted commissions may appear more prominently across VGen (homepage, portfolio, My Requests, artist dashboard, etc.).
- Artists can turn decorations off in showcase editing if they prefer a simpler look. The frame and badge will still show that the commission was Boosted.
As we continue developing Boosts, visual styles, and placement may evolve. The core idea will stay the same: clients can give artists extra appreciation, and those commissions get a bit of extra shine across VGen.
