VGen services are pretty special: they directly integrate your samples, description, ToS, request form, and more - all in one tidy package!
Just be sure to properly tag any Mature Content properly.
Services are at the heart of VGen commissions and you can add, see, and manage yours by heading to the “Services” tab in the left hand menu of your artist dashboard.
Tap the “+ Service” button in the top right to make a new service and organize your comm box with Categories if you’d like.
The more complete you make each of your comm services, the more likely someone will be to actually order it.
Incomplete services won’t get ordered and will likely damage your brand, so be sure to try your best with each service.
1. Service name
Required
This is the name of the service, make it something potential clients will understand immediately.
2. Service status
Required
Services may be set to OPEN / WAITLIST / CLOSED / UNLISTED / DRAFT. What does Waitlist mean?
Note we currently work off of a proposal system where you can choose which requests you accept, and so automatic slots / FCFS does NOT exist YET - though coming in future.
Pro tips
- When set to UNLISTED, the service is hidden on your public profile but anyone with the service link can still send requests - great for private / early openings for subs / patrons / supporters~
3. Base price
Required
This is the price that will be displayed as the “From” price in your comm box.
Why “base”? That’s because we work off of a proposal system. The actual price clients will pay is dependent on their specific request, which you will set as the Proposal Price when a request comes in.
Note that all profile visitors will see your base prices default to their local currency.
4. Examples
(🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥)
Commission samples are by far the most important part of your entire service. The more examples, the better. Examples are how potential clients will decide if they like what they see and would want something similar.
The following image file types are supported: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, or YouTube links (public or unlisted).
Note that we currently don’t support custom cropping so all images will be “fit” within the 16:9 rectangle. If you’d like it cropped otherwise, please upload it as such.
Pro tips
- 16:9 cropped cover image is highly encouraged for optimal display and thumbnail for your service-specific URL
- If you do rigging / animation / motion, a gif of your work as the cover is recommended for highest visitor impact - although the service-specific URL thumbnail may not always be available
5. Description
Optional
If there are specific details you’d like to clarify, this is where to do it. We provide a little template but feel free to fill this section with whatever is most appropriate for you.
Pro tips
- If you opt to list any add-on / options pricing in your description, make sure to be clear what currency those static prices are in! Your base prices are automatically displayed in visitor's local currencies so if you don't denote your static prices, this may cause confusion for all.
- While we don’t support image uploads in this section, you can CTL+V / CMD+V images / screenshots of tables / etc in.
6. Request Form
Required
Request forms are like Google forms but are directly tied to your commission service. You can set an individual form for each service, or you can reuse them across similar services.
We provide a little template but feel free to adjust with whatever is most appropriate for you.
Pro tips
- Find all of your forms in one place for managing / duplicating in the Forms tab of your artist dashboard
- Use the embedded image for any visual selections - great for YCH and style selections (sample here - go to the request form of this sample to see what this tip is all about)
- Add-ons are coming in the future, but in the meantime, use Choices type questions to display optional add-ons
7. Terms of Service
Required
Your ToS lays out exactly what terms your clients must agree to before commissioning you. These terms get attached to all of your commission requests so that they can be referred to if there is ever a dispute.
You can think of this as your contract terms - so what exactly do your clients need to know about working with you?
We provide a little template but feel free to adjust with whatever is most appropriate for you.
Just like with Request Forms, you can set an individual ToS for each service, or you can reuse them across similar services.
Pro tips
- Find all of your ToS in one place for managing / duplicating in the Policies tab of your artist dashboard.
8. Maturity Rating
As required
If your samples or service includes any mature content, it must be marked as such or you may risk content removal or account suspensions.

9. Category
Required
If you have many different types of commission services, you may choose to organize them in Categories. You can set specific categories in the commission service popup, or directly drag and drop to reorder services across categories from the Services tab itself.
