You've successfully submitted a commission request, now what?
Wait to hear back
Once you submit your commission request, your artist will be notified and will review your request as soon as they can.
While artists are actively looking at OPEN service requests as they come in, expect to wait a bit longer for any WAITLIST services. WAITLIST means that the artist may not be readily available right now but will be in touch as soon as they are.
Get your custom proposal
After reviewing all the details you've provided in your request form, your artist will share a tailored proposal (+ invoice) with you including:
- Scope - work to be done / any other important details
- Timeline - expected start month / guaranteed delivery date
- Payments - total / due date / any applicable milestones (if you've discussed a payment plan)
After reviewing your proposal, you'll be able to...
- Accept by paying the invoice
- Decline the proposal
- Reach out to your artist directly to ask for any edits

Commission confirmed
Once you accept the proposal by making your payment, you'll get a confirmation / receipt email and your commission will be added to your artists' queue.
Wait for updates
When the artist is ready to start work on your commission, they'll mark it as WIP. Once they do that, you'll get an email notifying you to be on the lookout for any updates (in case they want to get your feedback).
Make sure to keep Twitter / Discord DMs open and check emails.
Please do NOT reach out to your artist asking for updates unless you're getting very close or past your guaranteed delivery date and still haven't heard from them.
Get your final delivery
Once complete, your artist will share your final files via VGen for you to download.
You'll also get the chance to review any Verified Media that the artist has shared to represent your commission in their service samples / portfolio showcases. Be sure to check them over for accuracy.
