Short answer: Your operating currency is the default currency you set your prices in, moving forward.
You can find Operating currency in your Settings page. This selector allows you to set your prices based on a currency other than your payout currencies.
You may want to set it to something other than your payout currency if:
- You want to keep up with currency exchange fluctuations without having to update your prices
- You want to makes rounded numbers in the currency your clients use most
- Ex. if you’re based in Philippines and local currency is PHP but you want a nicely rounded $100 USD
Note
If you change your operating currency, your existing services and proposals do not automatically update to the new currency.
