Short answer: Roost Living Inc. is our legal company name, and VGen is the name we operate under. If you see "Roost Living Inc. DBA VGen" in our Terms of Service or "Roost Living Inc." on a bank statement, that's still us.
Why are there two names?
Plenty of companies operate under a different name than the one they're registered with, and we're one of them. Roost Living Inc. is the legal entity behind the platform name, VGen
"DBA" is short for "doing business as," so "Roost Living Inc. DBA VGen" is just one company: VGen. Nothing about your account, your commissions, or your payouts changes because of it.
Where you might see it
- Terms of Service and legal documents. Anywhere we need to reference the registered company, you'll see "Roost Living Inc. DBA VGen" instead of VGen on its own.
- Bank and card statements. Depending on your bank, a payment to or from VGen may show up under Roost Living rather than the VGen name you'd expect.
- Invoices and receipts. Commission invoices and shop receipts may list our legal name alongside VGen branding.
Note: Spotting an unfamiliar name on your statement is a completely reasonable thing to pause on, and we'd always rather you double-check than assume. If a charge or payout doesn't look right to you, reach out and we'll confirm whether it came from us. You can also read up on how to spot impersonation attempts.
